Surprise #TDThanksYou video captures special
then and now moments
TORONTO, July 23, 2015 /CNW/ - Canadians love to
spend time looking back on their important life moments and the
popularity of social trends like "throwback Thursday" (#tbt) or
"flashback Friday" (#fbf) is proof of this. People enjoy
reminiscing and sharing moments that mean a lot to them. Today, TD
is reflecting on then and now, and saying thank you to its
customers for allowing it to play a role in many of their
significant life milestones.
"Every July we celebrate customer appreciation, and this year
we're marking memorable life moments that are important to our
customers during our second #TDThanksYou campaign," said
Tim Hockey, President and CEO, TD
Canada Trust. "Whether it's opening your first account, buying your
first home, starting a new business, or planning for your
retirement - banking is about milestones and we want to thank our
customers for letting us be a part of these powerful life moments
over the years."
For many people, their relationship with their bank is a
longstanding one. In fact, a recent TD survey found nearly half of
Canadians have been with their bank for more than 15 years, second
only in duration to their relationship with their best friend.
One of the ways TD is saying thank you to customers for allowing
it to be a part of their lives over the years is by surprising some
of its customers with the ultimate throwback experience and sharing
their then and now stories through a compilation video that can be
viewed and shared here.
"We're so grateful to be a part of our customers' lives and it
was an incredible experience to be able to celebrate some of their
most meaningful life moments" said Rafi
Babury, branch manager. "Every day, we learn something
new about our customers and we're constantly inspired by their
stories. Victoria is one of those
people - she's always looking out for others. She and her husband
have selflessly been caring for their granddaughter Alexis since
she was 14 and we were thrilled to play a part in transforming an
average day for her into something special."
TD is also celebrating its customers with a fun throwback theme
in branches and by sharing special thank you messages in person and
on the phone, through online and mobile channels and its ATM
network, and in advertising and social media across TD's North
American footprint..
"People may remember coming to us to set up their first joint
bank account shortly after getting married, or setting up an RESP
for their children after they were born," Hockey added. "We truly
appreciate all of our customers, and we really mean it when we say
'Thank You' for letting us be part of it all, both then and
now."
TD is also sharing its stories via Twitter and Facebook, as well
as encouraging everyone to share the stories and their own memories
using the hashtag #TDThanksYou.
