/CNW/ - More than 6,500 runners are expected to participate
in the Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon & 5k on
Sunday, June 25, including
some of Canada's top distance
runners. Many of these runners will once again be raising money for
one of 76 community causes through the Scotiabank Charity
Challenge. Since 2007, the Scotiabank Charity Challenge in
Vancouver has raised $6.2 million for 166 local charities.

Vancouver's Dayna Pidhoresky will be racing as a key part of
her preparation for the IAAF World Championships marathon in
London this August – her first
time representing Canada.
Now in its 19th year, the Scotiabank Vancouver
Half-Marathon starts at UBC's Thunderbird Arena and heads onto
Marine Drive, along the shores of the Burrard Inlet to the finish
line on Stanley Park Drive, across from The Fish House in Stanley
Park.
