Euro-zone PPI climbed less than expected in June

In the Euro-zone, the producer price index (PPI) advanced 10.20% on a YoY basis in June, compared to a rise of 9.60% in the previous month. Markets were expecting the PPI to record an advance of 10.30%.

US factory orders advanced more than market forecast in June

In the US, factory orders rose 1.50% on a MoM basis in June, compared to a revised rise of 2.30% in the prior month. Markets were expecting factory orders to record a rise of 1.00%.

Australia’s retail sales fell as expected in June

In Australia, retail sales dropped 1.8% on a MoM basis in June, in line with market expectations and compared to a rise of 0.4% in the previous month.

Australian AiG performance of construction index dropped in July

In Australia, the AiG performance of the construction index dropped to a level of 48.70 in July, compared to a reading of 55.50 in the prior month.

Chinese services PMI climbed in July

In China, the services PMI advanced to a level of 54.90 in July, compared to a reading of 50.30 in the previous month.
