BLAINVILLE, QC, Oct. 3, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Xebec Adsorption Inc. ("Xebec"), a provider of biogas upgrading, natural gas and hydrogen purification solutions for the clean energy and crude-derived fuel displacement markets, announced today that it has received two orders valued at approx. $1.0 million for two high pressure natural gas dehydration and purification units from two Canadian customers. Those units are aimed at industrial scale diesel and heavy fuel oil displacement. Xebec offers a full range of gas dehydration and purification models for the natural gas refueling market under its NGX brand. This line of products responds to the recent increase in demand for high flow, high pressure applications, which are primarily geared towards the industrial crude-derived fuel displacement market. These purification units are capable of operating at pressures in excess of 1,000 psi, and flow rates of greater than 25,000 SCFM (standard cubic feet per minute), generating in excess of 175 DGE (diesel gallons equivalent) of fuel per minute. Natural gas is an abundant, secure, domestic, clean and affordable fuel source that is capable of displacing crude-derived fuels like diesel, fuel oil and heating oil in many industrial, transport, and high horsepower applications. Due to the current significant price spread between natural gas and crude-derived fuels, companies are increasingly looking towards the lower priced natural gas fuel option to reduce their operating costs and carbon footprint. "These two orders are a very important achievement for Xebec in the evolving diesel displacement market. Our products will play an important role in enabling crude-derived fuel displacement at drilling rigs, at mining sites and for industrial applications," stated Kurt Sorschak, Xebec's President and CEO. "We have developed very attractive solutions for these evolving new markets, and we are looking forward to enable our customers to switch from diesel or oil to natural gas in the months and years to come."
