--French energy company Engie is examining a possible offer for Energias de Portugal and preliminary talks have been held between the chief executives at both companies, reports BFM Business, citing unnamed sources.

--No decision will be made before new Engie chairman Jean-Pierre Clamadieu takes over on May 18, BFM Business says.
