UniCredit SpA (UCG.MI) said Friday that its board of directors has named board member Fabrizio Saccomanni as chairman, after his appointment was voted on by shareholders at the annual general meeting on Thursday.

The Italian bank also said it has appointed Cesare Bisoni as deputy chairman and renewed Jean Pierre Mustier as chief executive. Mr. Mustier's prior term as chief executive expired at the annual general meeting on Thursday.

The appointments will expire on the date of approval of the 2020 financial statements.
