Communications Agency Recognized for Its Work with AI Company Albert in Establishing a Market for Artificial Intelligence in Business in the United States

Channel V Media (CVM), a PR and content marketing agency that specializes in launching and building market momentum for fast-growing and visionary companies, has been named a Gold Stevie® Award winner in The 16th Annual American Business Awards. The company took top honors in the “PR Campaign of the Year (Business-to-Business)” category for its work bringing artificial intelligence platform Albert, created by Albert Technologies (LSE: ALB.L), to market.

In 2016, Channel V Media introduced Albert to the U.S. market ahead of other soon-to-launch business artificial intelligence technologies. In 2017, the agency’s public relations strategy evolved from introducing AI to a business community that was at best unfamiliar with it, and at worst skeptical of it, to driving mainstream adoption of the increasingly in-demand product.

CVM was honored by the American Business Awards for the success of its four-tier 2017 strategy: 1) educating the industry and defining the AI message for emerging companies; 2) securing market validation; 3) making Albert one of the most highly visible AI platforms in the world; and 4) introducing AI into broader business and technology conversations.

In praising Channel V Media, the Stevie® Award judges noted, “AI is generally looked upon with great skepticism. To be on top of market giants such as Oracle and Salesforce is no small feat.” They also recognized that “finding the through-line connection for Albert to IBM Watson and Salesforce was a great play. When you can ‘connect the dots’ for media and consumers, that is the green light to success.” And they applauded Channel V Media’s “creative, decisive and – very importantly – result-rendering campaign.”

“When we set out to bring Albert to market in 2016, we quickly saw that media and marketing end users weren’t prepared to have a conversation about how artificial intelligence could benefit businesses,” said Gretel Going, President of Channel V Media. “Reporters and analysts were initially reluctant to tell the AI story to readers, and some wondered whether AI was a fad. Now, artificial intelligence feels almost mainstream. We’re happy to be recognized for the part we played, along with Albert and some forward-thinking reporters, to break down those upfront barriers.”

This year’s competition saw more than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and industries. The list of 2018 Stevie winners are available at https://stevieawards.com/aba/.
