Janus Henderson Investors added two new hires to its Portfolio Construction and Strategy (PCS) team, led by Global Head of PCS Adam Hetts. Peter Harrington-Howes will assume the role of Senior Portfolio Strategist in the U.S., while Matt Bullock will serve as Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) PCS and is based in the UK.

Peter has more than 16 years of experience in the financial services industry and most recently held the position of Senior Portfolio Advisor at Natixis. There he worked with intermediary and institutional clients across U.S., Latin American and U.S. offshore markets and was a voting member of the U.S. Investment Committee responsible for the Natixis model portfolios at Merrill Lynch. As a Senior Portfolio Strategist, Peter will partner primarily with U.S. clients, delivering actionable portfolio insights through custom asset allocation consultations and generating proprietary thought leadership.

Matt brings more than 20 years of financial services industry experience to the role, having joined from Wellington Management where he was Investment Director, Multi-Strategy Solutions and Thematics. Prior to that he held various leadership roles with a focus on EMEA markets, including senior positions at both BlackRock and the Pendal Group (formerly BT Investment Management). Matt will use his experience to extend the team’s institutional and intermediary client engagement models across EMEA and serve as the leader for the London-based team of portfolio strategists.

The Janus Henderson PCS team delivers customized portfolio analyses and insights for clients, providing them with data-driven diagnostic reports and proprietary thought-leadership content about asset allocation and macro market conditions.

The complementary service helps clients build more resilient portfolios through a better understanding of their unique performance drivers and the PCS team’s investment perspective. Peter and Matt’s appointments bring the headcount of the PCS team to 15 people covering U.S., U.S. offshore, Latin America and EMEA.
