ING Group 2019 SREP process completed
ING Group has been notified of the European Central Bank (ECB)
decision on the 2019 Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process
(SREP), based on which it has taken a decision on ING’s prudential
requirements, including capital requirements for 2020.
The common equity Tier 1 requirement for ING Group will increase
during the year from the current 11.83% to 11.96% as of 1 August
2020. The higher requirement is caused by the increase of the
mandatory countercyclical buffer in 2020.
As of 31 October 2019, ING fully-loaded common equity Tier 1
ratio was 14.6%, well in excess of the regulatory requirements.
Further information on our capital requirements and resolution
plans can be found in the updated ING Group Credit Update
presentation on the Fixed Income Section of our website.
