SAP SE said Friday that it is expanding its software and cloud partnership with Microsoft Corp.

The German software maker said it would seek to better integrate Microsoft Teams across its solution portfolio, while expanding interoperability with Microsoft Azure.

The two companies are also expanding their cloud partnership to roll out new offerings in cloud automation and integration for SAP S/4HANA on Microsoft Azure.

"By integrating Microsoft Teams across our solution portfolio, we will bring collaboration to the next level, jointly determining the future of work and enabling the frictionless enterprise. Our trusted partnership with Microsoft is focused on continuously advancing customer success. That's why we are also expanding interoperability with Azure," SAP Chief Executive Christian Klein said.
