Ness Technologies Wins $11 Million Outsourcing Contract With Israel's Ministry of Immigrant Absorption

TEL AVIV, Israel, February 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ness
Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:NSTCNASDAQ:andNASDAQ:TASE:NASDAQ:NSTC),
a global provider of IT services and solutions, today announced
that it has been awarded a five-year, 42 million Israeli shekel
(approximately $11.2 million) outsourcing contract from Israel's
Ministry of Immigrant Absorption. The contract includes an option
to extend the contract for up to additional five years. Ness won
the contract in a public tender published by the Ministry. Ness
Technologies will operate and maintain the ministry's IT systems
24/7, including applications, infrastructure systems,
communications, and workstations. In addition, Ness will deploy
network and system management solutions, upgrade the ministry's
helpdesk, and continuously improve the service level according to a
Service Level Agreement (SLA). The ministry's Information Systems
Division is responsible for ongoing development and operation of
advanced ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) systems
for immigrant absorption, including registration of immigrants,
management of assistance resources such as public housing,
financial assistance, customs tax grants, etc.; providing hardware
and software resources to support absorption processes near
immigrant residences; and producing a wide range of information and
reports for the ministry's various management levels and external
organizations that handle immigrant absorption. The ministry's
Information Systems Division supports 600 users at 40 sites
nationwide, and operates two IT facilities - one in Jerusalem and
another at Ben-Gurion International Airport. "We were very
