Millicom International Cellular SA (TIGO) on Thursday said it agreed to sell its entire operations in Chad to Maroc Telecom.

The completion of the transaction is subject to the approval of the Chadian authorities, the company said.

Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

Millicom said the sale of Tigo Chad, the leading provider of digital services in the country, is in line with the company's stated objective of increasing its focus on Latin America.

Millicom said the transaction isn't expected to have a material impact on the group as a whole.

Millicom provides cable and mobile services to emerging markets in Latin America and Africa.
