CVS Health Corp. will offer Covid-19 antibody testing nationwide
at its MinuteClinic locations within CVS retail stores, the company
said Monday.
CVS had previously piloted antibody testing at a subset of about
100 MinuteClinic locations in Texas and Massachusetts. That program
garnered steady interest from consumers, said Sharon Vitti, the
executive in charge of MinuteClinic. CVS has roughly 1,100
MinuteClinic locations within CVS Pharmacy stores in 33 states,
plus Washington, D.C.
Antibody testing can determine whether a person was previously
infected with Covid-19. The test used at MinuteClinic uses a blood
sample taken from a finger stick.
CVS said it charges $38 for an antibody test.
