GE HealthCare Poaches Baxter International Finance Chief

GE HealthCare Technologies on Tuesday said it named James
Saccaro vice president and chief financial officer, plucking the
executive from medical-products maker Baxter International.
GE HealthCare said Mr. Saccaro, 50 years old, succeeds Helmut
Zodl, who will remaining with the Chicago healthcare-equipment
giant as global vice president and head of special projects related
to its separation from former parent General Electric.
Mr. Saccaro, who has been Baxter's chief financial officer since
July 2015, is taking on his new post on June 1.
Baxter said Brian Stevens, who has been senior vice president,
chief accounting officer and controller since 2018, would serve as
interim finance chief while the company conducts a search for a
successor.
GE Healthcare said Mr. Saccaro will receive an annual base
salary of $875,000 and an annual bonus with a target of 100% of his
base pay.
Mr. Saccaro has spent more than two decades with Baxter over two
stints that bracketed a turn as chief financial officer of Hill-Rom
Holdings, which Baxter acquired in late 2021.
