Home Depot Inc. said it aims to spend $5 billion with Tier I
diverse suppliers by 2025.
The retailer said in its 2022 environmental, social, and
governance report that it spent $3.3 billion with Tier I diverse
suppliers in 2021.
The company said for 2021, its U.S. associate base was more
ethnically diverse than the U.S. working population. The company
said about 36% of its new hires were women, and more than 57% were
ethnically diverse in 2021.
Home Depot said it completed its goal to launch a Tier II
supplier diversity program to encourage its suppliers to spend more
with diverse businesses.
The company also said it increased the representation of female
and underrepresented minority groups across its managers and above
population in the U.S.
