CALGARY, AB, Nov. 9, 2020 /CNW/ - The FortisAlberta Inc.
Board of Directors announced today that Michael Mosher will be retiring and will be
succeeded by Janine Sullivan as
President and Chief Executive Officer of FortisAlberta, effective
Jan.1, 2021.
"We are pleased to announce the appointment of Janine as the new
President and CEO of FortisAlberta," said Roger Thomas, Chair of the Board of Directors at
FortisAlberta." Janine has 22 years of utility industry experience,
with 14 of those at FortisAlberta. Janine's financial, regulatory
and leadership expertise will prove beneficial in leading the
Company and its team of approximately 1,100 employees. I also want
to thank Michael for his leadership over the years and wish him all
the best in his retirement."
Janine has been with FortisAlberta since 2006, holding
successive positions within the Company, including her appointment
to Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2015 and most
recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
In her recent roles she was accountable for shaping and executing
FortisAlberta's financial plans and regulatory strategy. Ms.
Sullivan completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Memorial University and received her Chartered
Accountant Designation in 1995.

Fortis utility Newfoundland Power and FortisAlberta since 1998 and
has held progressively responsible roles in finance and regulatory
affairs. I am confident Janine's experience in directing the
utility through regulatory and financial change will serve her well
as she executes on business strategy and continued commitment to
our customers."
