System to enhance services to those who serve
Veterans
FAIRFAX, Va., Feb. 3, 2021 /CNW Telbec/ - CGI (NYSE: GIB)
(TSX: GIB.A) announced the successful implementation of CGI's
Momentum® Enterprise Solution at the U.S.
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The implementation is the
first wave of VA's Financial Management Business Transformation
(FMBT) program that will modernize financial management and
acquisitions throughout the Department. VA reached this critical
accomplishment through VA leadership and a talented, dedicated
program team working in partnership with CGI, who worked as the
lead integrator leveraging their federal business process and
organizational change management expertise.
Exclusively designed to support U.S. federal government clients,
CGI's Momentum flexibly supports the full federal financial,
budget, asset and procurement management lifecycles. The FMBT
program provides a modern, integrated solution with transformative
business processes and capabilities that enables VA to meet its
goals and objectives in compliance with legislation and directives.
The first phase of this multi-year implementation began at the
National Cemetery Administration and will continue at the two other
VA Administrations and Staff Offices over the next seven years.
"CGI is honored to be part of the FMBT program that
transforms the way VA responds to Veterans' needs through an
accessible and transparent management system that drives efficiency
and timely decision making," said Stephanie
Mango, Senior Vice-President, CGI. "This, in turn, improves
quality of care and service to our Veterans and their
families."
