VANCOUVER,
Nov. 20, 2012 /CNW/ - Rathdowney
Resources Ltd. ("Rathdowney" or the "Company") (TSXV: RTH)
announces the results for twenty-four holes from the Company's
ongoing drilling program in Poland. These new holes further demonstrate
the strength and persistence of the zinc-lead mineralization at
Project Olza.
The current results are for holes OLZ-147, OLZ-159
and OLZ-179 to OLZ-200, located at drill centres in the northern,
central and southern parts of the mineralized corridor at Project
Olza, as shown on the plan map posted on the Rathdowney website at
http://rathdowneyresources.com/i/rdr/pdf/RTH_NR_DDH_Nov2012.pdf].
A table of assays results for the new holes is appended to this
release. Highlights are tabulated below:

All diamond core
holes, drilled vertically through the sub-horizontal mineralized
horizon, so intersections represent approximate true
widths. |
In September 2012,
Rathdowney announced an estimate of significant zinc-lead mineral
resources in a Mississippi Valley Type (MVT) deposit at its Project
Olza. At a 2.0% cutoff, the inferred mineral resources are 21.2 Mt
of 7.42% Zn+Pb1.
Rathdowney President and CEO John Barry said: "The quality and continuity of
the MVT zinc-lead mineralization at Project Olza continues to be
demonstrated by our drilling program. These new holes tested
the deposit both within and outside of the recent resource-areas,
showing its robustness and the excellent potential to build
additional resources."
Project Olza is situated in Poland's prolific Upper Silesian mining
district. Because of the district's long mining history,
extensive infrastructure is readily available to new projects,
including power and smelter facilities. Rathdowney's ground
is linked by rail to these facilities. Given its geological
potential and excellent location, Rathdowney's Project Olza
presents a compelling investment opportunity among a small
peer-group of zinc-focused juniors.
1 Individual grades are 5.88% zinc and 1.54%
lead. For further details see Rathdowney News Release dated
September 11, 2012 or the Company's
technical report on the resource estimate that is filed at
www.sedar.com.
About Rathdowney
Rathdowney Resources Ltd. is a mineral
exploration company focused on finding and developing the next
generation of zinc-lead-silver deposits in the ore fields of
Europe. The Company's Project Olza
is a Mississippi Valley Type (MVT) zinc-lead prospect situated in
Poland's prolific Upper Silesian
mining district which has been a centre of exploration and mining
activity since 12th century. Rathdowney is associated with Hunter
Dickinson Inc. ("HDI") a diversified, global mine development
company with a 25-year history of mineral development success. From
its head office in Vancouver,
Canada, HDI applies its unique strengths and capabilities to
acquire, develop, operate and monetize mineral properties that
provide consistently superior returns to shareholders.

Sample preparation and analysis for Project Olza is done at ISO
17025:2005 accredited Omac Laboratories Ltd. (ALS Laboratory Group)
in Loughrea, Ireland. All samples are assayed for zinc, lead
and silver by HNO3, KClO4 and HBr and the
final solution in dilute Aqua Regia is determined by Inductively
Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP‐OES) finish.
These three elements and 42 additional elements are also determined
for all samples by 4 acid digestion, followed by ICP‐OES finish. As
part of a comprehensive QA/QC program, one standard and one
replicate are inserted into the sample stream in each group of 20
samples, as well as one or more blanks in each analytical
batch. |

materially from those in the forward-looking statements. Factors
that could cause actual results to differ materially from those in
forward-looking statements include market prices, exploitation and
exploration successes, continuity of mineralization, potential
environmental issues or liabilities associated with exploration,
development and mining activities, uncertainties related to the
ability to obtain necessary permits, licenses and title and delays
due to third party opposition, changes in government policies
regarding mining and natural resource exploration and exploitation,
continued availability of capital and financing, and general
economic, market or business conditions. Investors are cautioned
that any such statements are not guarantees of future performance

Information Concerning Estimates of Inferred
Resources
This news release uses the term "inferred
resource". Rathdowney advises investors that although this term is
recognized and required by Canadian regulations (under National
Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects),
the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission does not recognize it.
Investors are cautioned not to assume that any part or all of the
mineral deposits in this category will ever be converted into
reserves. Inferred resources have a great amount of
uncertainty as to their existence, and economic and legal
feasibility. It cannot be assumed that all or any part of an
Inferred Mineral Resource will ever be upgraded to a higher
category. Under Canadian rules, estimates of Inferred Mineral
Resources may not form the basis of feasibility or pre-feasibility
studies, or economic studies except for Preliminary Assessment as
defined under 43-101. Investors are cautioned not to assume that
part or all of an inferred resource exists, or is economically or
legally mineable.
