Executive Committee departure: Cathryn Ross
Cathryn Ross, BT's Regulatory Affairs Director, has announced
she is stepping down to take on a new role outside the Group.
Since joining as Regulatory Affairs Director at the start of
2018, Cathryn has worked closely with the business leadership
playing a key role in resetting relations with Ofcom. Most recently
she led the Group's engagement on Ofcom's Wholesale Fixed Telecoms
Market Review, which will set the regulatory framework for fibre
build in the UK for the next five years and beyond.
Group Chief Executive Philip Jansen said: "I'd like to offer my
thanks to Cathryn for all her efforts in leading our positive and
constructive engagement with Ofcom. Cathryn has been a great
colleague and I've appreciated her support and advice. She has made
a fantastic contribution that helps set BT up to build the UK's
digital infrastructure for the decades ahead. "
Cathryn Ross said: "I've thoroughly enjoyed my time at BT and am
very proud of what we've achieved. BT plays a hugely important role
in the UK's economy and society and, with the right regulatory
framework in place, I believe the company, and with it the country,
will go from strength to strength. I'm very grateful for the
opportunity I've had to contribute to that."
Cathryn will stay with BT until the end of May to ensure a
smooth transition of her responsibilities.
