Crimson Tide PLC said Thursday that it has won a contract worth more than 1.2 million pounds ($1.7 million) with Compass Group PLC.

The mobile business solutions company said the subscription contract is for a minimum 36-month period, and that it represents a significant increase in the scale of its mpro5 software platform usage by the client.

London-listed Crimson Tide said the client will be using the mpro5 platform to ensure compliance across a broad range of U.K. customer and legislative requirements including brand standards, service quality, health and safety and food safety and allergen controls.

"Whilst we have maintained a diverse range of smaller contracts with Compass Group for some time, this contract, to ensure compliance across its food services, is a significant demonstration of the ability of mpro5 to cover a wide range of processes and the Company's ability to broaden its reach within existing customers and enhance value over time," Chairman Barrie Whipp said.

Shares at 0850 GMT were up 0.05 pence, or 1.5%, at 3.35 pence.
