Compact Power Holdings plc is pleased to announce that Bristol City Council have
given their approval for Compact Power to proceed with a project intended to
result in the development of the new plant at Avonmouth, Bristol.

The decision of Bristol City Council will now allow Compact Power to proceed
with the negotiations for the financing of the plant.  If they are successfully
concluded, Compact Power intends to build and operate an advanced thermal
conversion plant to process 28,000 tonnes per year of Bristol's non-recyclable
household waste and 3,000 tonnes of special waste.  It is also intended that the
processing of waste would generate approximately 1.8 Megawatts of renewable
power and heat for local businesses.
