HOUSTON, Sept. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Endeavour
International Corporation (NYSE: END) (LSE: ENDV) today announced
that the Rochelle field is offline until repairs to the dry gas
export compressors on the Scott platform are completed.
In August, the previously announced planned shutdown of the
Scott platform and Forties Pipeline System was completed and the
Rochelle field returned to production on August 26, 2014. Production rates had
ramped back up to over 100 million standard cubic feet of gas per
day ("MMscf/d") before Rochelle was shut-in on September 9, 2014 because of a mechanical problem
on the Scott platform. The Scott platform shutdown was caused by a
failure of the export gas compressor and repair work is ongoing.
Endeavour has been informed by the operator that production
from the Rochelle field is expected to be back online later in the
month. Endeavour has a 44% working interest in the Rochelle
field.
As a result of the unplanned downtime at the Rochelle field, the
Company is revising its third quarter 2014 guidance down 500
barrels of oil equivalent per day ("boepd") to 9,000 – 10,000
boepd.
