Sterling Energy Appoints Jeffrey MacDonald Independent Nonexecutive Chairman

Sterling Energy PLC said Tuesday that it has appointed Jeffrey
MacDonald as independent nonexecutive chairman, and Gavin Wilson as
nonexecutive director, with immediate effect.
The upstream oil-and-gas company said Mr. MacDonald, former
founder and CEO of Caledonia Oil & Gas Ltd., was previously
managing director with private-equity firm First Reserve. He has
also held the position of interim CEO at KrisEnergy Ltd.
The London-listed company said Mr. Wilson was previously
investment director at Meridian Capital Ltd., a Hong Kong-based
international investment firm.
Shares at 0855 GMT were flat at 16.75 pence.
