Notice of Annual General Meeting and Posting of Accounts

Smart Metering Systems plc (AIM: "SMS", the "Group"), which installs and manages smart meters and carbon reduction assets ("CaRe") to facilitate effective energy management, confirms that it has posted its Report and Accounts for the twelve months ended 31 December 2020 (the "Annual Report") to shareholders together with the Notice of Annual General Meeting (the "Notice").

The Annual Report and Notice are available on, and can be downloaded from the SMS website: www.sms-plc.com . Printed copies of the Annual Report can also be requested.

The Annual General Meeting will be held at 11.30 am on 20 May 2021 at SMS, 3rd Floor, 48 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow, G2 5TS.

As the UK Government and Scottish Government's Covid-19 measures remain in place at the time of this announcement, the Board envisages that it is likely that the forthcoming AGM will be subject to limited attendance with only Directors, or their proxies, expected to be present in person. If the situation changes, the Company will update shareholders via a Regulatory Information Service and on the Company's website.
