Since the eatery's inception at its Red Bank, New Jersey facility nearly five years ago, diners have been delighted with the wide variety of cuisine created by Executive Chef and partner, Cesare "Chez" De Chellis. The success of the restaurant led to the opening of their second and third locations in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey and West Reading, Pennsylvania shortly thereafter. Now, owner/operators, Steven Valentine and Sandy D'Anton are revealing the plans for the newest B2 Bistro stomping grounds: Middlesex County, New Jersey.

D'Anton was introduced to B2 Bistro + Bar's latest destination at 230 Washington Avenue, North Brunswick, New Jersey, while it was operating as Lago Restaurant. Hearing that the former proprietors were looking to sell, D'Anton jumped at the opportunity to place an offer on the lakefront property, closing on the transaction last month. Though the restaurant continues to operate as Lago Restaurant, guests will begin to notice changes to the menu as they gradually transition to formally open as B2 Bistro.

Modeling the other B2 Bistro locations, renovations will include: the addition of a brand new bar, a satellite open kitchen with a pizza oven, new exterior finishes and the expansion of the breathtaking views of the lake. The restaurant will remain open during renderings, a feat they achieved most recently when they purchased and remodeled their Point Pleasant Beach location less than two years ago, while also leaving their doors open for business. Renovations are expected to be completed within six months.

Based on the popular bistro-style cooking in the United States, France, Italy, Spain, Greece, and other Mediterranean countries, B2's culinary focal point is its wood burning oven where many of the dishes are prepared, in particular, the specialty pizzas.
