About the Author
Araceli Ortega-Diaz is a researcher
in quantitative economics with over two decades of experience
teaching at universities in Mexico
and the U.K. Her work focuses on using quantitative models to
evaluate public policies aimed at reducing poverty and inequality,
with significant contributions to national and international
projects funded by organizations such as FAO, the European
Commission, and the World Bank. A Tier 2 National Researcher
(S.N.I. 2), she holds a doctorate in economics from Essex
University, along with multiple degrees in econometrics, economics,
and actuarial science. Ortega-Diaz is passionate about improving
