KANSAS CITY, Mo. - October 4, 2013 - BATS Global Markets, a leading operator of securities markets in the U.S. and Europe, reports the BATS 1000® Index (Ticker: BATSK) was virtually unchanged this week to close at 19,125.06 as of the 4 p.m. ET market close today.

Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals led four of the ten sectors that comprise the index higher, gaining 1%. Industrials and Manufacturing slipped 0.9%, the worst performer out of the four sectors that declined for the week. Financials, along with Technology and Communications, were unchanged.

The 10 index sectors are adjusted to an equal weighting based on the current value of the index every June during an annual reconstitution process.
