Cobham plc announces today a change to its existing organisation and structure.
The rationale for this change is to more clearly align its products and services
with the customers and the markets they serve.
A new group, Aerospace Systems, will be created consisting principally of
FR-HiTEMP, Flight Refuelling Military Systems division, Sargent Fletcher,
Stanley Aviation, Carleton Technologies and Conax. The new group has extensive
operations in both the UK and USA. Westwind will continue to report directly to
Allan Cook. This change brings management responsibility into line with the way
Cobham plc presents its financial results. The other two core reporting groups,
Avionics and Flight Operations and Services, are unaffected by the change.
As a result of this change, Robin Clark, former managing director of Flight
Refuelling, left the boards of Cobham plc and Flight Refuelling Limited on 15
August 2003. Robin has played an important part in the successful development
of Flight Refuelling Limited and Cobham plc over the past 22 years and the
Cobham board would like to thank Robin for his personal contribution during this
period.
Cobham plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Stevens to the new
position of Group Managing Director, Aerospace Systems with effect from 10
November 2003. Andrew will join the board of Cobham plc in an executive
capacity from that date and will report to the Chief Executive. Andrew is
currently Managing Director, Defence Aerospace with Rolls Royce plc.
