NETS(TM) Follow Broad Range of Global Equity Markets NEW YORK, April 9, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange(R) (Amex(R)) today announced that it launched trading in two new exchange traded funds (ETFs) by Northern Trust Global Investments (Northern Trust). The new products, branded NETS(TM), mark Northern Trust's first foray into the ETF marketplace. The two new NETS(TM) ETFs are: NETS(TM) S&P/ASX 200 Index Fund (Australia) (AMEX:AUS)-AUS aims to track the price and yield performance of publicly traded securities in the aggregate in the Australian market, as measured by the S&P/ASX 200 Index. The Index is a float-adjusted, market capitalization-weighted index consisting of the largest 200 stocks listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. NETS(TM) FTSE 100 Index Fund (United Kingdom) (AMEX:LDN)-LDN aims to track the price and yield performance of publicly-traded securities in the aggregate in the British market, as represented by the FTSE 100 Index. The Index is a free float adjusted, market capitalization-weighted index, consisting of stocks of the largest 100 companies traded primarily on the London Stock Exchange.
