QUINTAIN ESTATES AND DEVELOPMENT PLC ("Quintain"/ "Company")

As set out in the Company's Annual Report 2003 and following adoption of the
Executive Directors' Performance Share Plan ("the Plan") by shareholders a its
annual general meeting on 3 September 2003, Quintain announces the award today
under the terms of the Plan of 500,000 ordinary 25p shares each to Nicholas
Shattock and Adrian Wyatt.
