                                Acquisition Update

The Company has today posted the circular comprising listing particulars to its
shareholders in connection with the acquisition of Welcare Pathology Laboratory
and the subscription of #2 million new Ordinary Shares in the Company ("the
Transaction"), which was announced on 22 May 2003, together with notice of an
extraordinary general meeting convened for 26 June 2003 to approve the
Transaction.

Copies of the above circular have been submitted to the UKLA, and will shortly
be available for inspection at the UKLA's Document Viewing Facility, which is
