/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN), a
global leader in secure mobility solutions, today announced that
its ArubaOS 3.1 software won the Best Wireless Broadband Security
Innovation category at the Wireless Broadband Innovations Awards in
London. Sponsored by BT, Connect Spot, FON, Intel, and Trustive,
among others, the award was presented at The Wireless Event, one of
the world's largest broadband wireless shows. The award recognizes
Aruba's leadership, innovation and excellence in the wireless
broadband security industry. The ArubaOS 3.1 software runs on all
Aruba wireless LAN Mobility Controllers, and features client
quarantining and blocking, guest tracking, and integration with
existing security devices, event management and intrusion
prevention platforms including Snort. "Aruba Networks has proven
itself as a true Wireless Broadband Innovation Award winner by
providing excellence and innovation in a highly competitive market
place," said Michael Gebert, organizer of the WBI Awards. "With
more than 170 nominations entries from 30 countries across the
world, Aruba is well-positioned to grow into the future with
wireless broadband." Aruba's user-centric networks securely extend
the reach of enterprise voice, data, and video applications over
LANs, WLANs, WANs, WLANs, and FMC carrier networks to users
wherever they roam. Follow-me security ensures that protection and
policies always envelop the user, regardless of the method of
broadband connection, instead of forcing users to connect to a
network through specific ports. Combined with centralized security
management, stateful firewalling, access control, and
client-to-core authentication and encryption, Aruba's follow-me
security extends enterprise security to traveling users everywhere
they go. "Aruba has focused its research and development teams on
overcoming the traditional trade-off between mobility and
security," said Rob Pronk, Aruba's director of marketing for EMEA.
"The ArubaOS 3.1 software demonstrates that enterprise security can
be enforced for all users, at all times, everywhere they travel,
without in any way hampering mobility. This award, for which we are
most grateful, acknowledges that Aruba has accomplished this task
using a thoroughly novel and innovative approach that resulted in a
best-of-class product." About Aruba Networks, Inc. Aruba's
user-centric architecture provides access to enterprise data, voice
and video applications across wired and wireless LAN, WAN, and
