Energy Developments Ltd. (ENE.AU) said Thursday it has signed a new gas conversion agreement with BHP Billiton Ltd. (BHP.AU) for its Appin and Appin West Power stations in New South Wales state.

The power stations will take BHP's waste coal mine gas and use it to generate electricity. The agreement is for four years to January 2016, with finalization subject to formal documentation and regulatory approvals, Energy Developments said.
