PR Newswire (US)
BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Patron Systems,
Inc. (OTC:PTRN) (BULLETIN BOARD: PTRN) , a leading provider of
enterprise software to create, manage and share electronic forms
and messages, announced today that it will equip 200 police cars
from a major upstate New York police department with Patron Systems
electronic field reporting application, FormStream. This city of
215,000 residents will have as many as 525 police officers and
police personnel with access to Patron's FormStream system to file
and submit incident and crime reports wirelessly from the laptop
computers in their police cars. FormStream is a replacement for
paper-based reports and automates the manual reporting and
processing of reports. The data capture and approval process that
normally required weeks to complete can now be achieved within
hours. Law enforcement is improved with the use of FormStream since
agencies have the unprecedented ability to share, agency-wide,
readily accessible information in real-time and gain quicker access
to compiled crime and incident reports plus related case
information. "FormStream will allow police officers and their
supervisors in the field to access, submit, and approve/reject
hundreds of forms electronically through wireless connections from
their police cars while on patrol, reducing input errors and
eliminating the need to drive to headquarters to drop off reports,"
said Robert Cross, CEO of Patron Systems. "As a result, officers
spend more time at their assigned patrols and less time doing
routine paperwork." FormStream's automated field reporting is a
mobile application wherein filling out data fields is a matter of
clicks and pull-down menus, with many fields pre-filled based on
user profiles and information pulled from external databases
including mobile dispatch. The product includes tools for the
creation of forms, or users can scan in any type of document,
including maps. About Patron Systems Founded in 2002, Patron
