Engineering and facilities management firm Transfield Services Ltd. (TSE.AU) said Tuesday its facilities management business USM has been awarded a contract worth US$45 million over three years with U.S.-based media and entertainment firm Clear Channel Communications Inc. (CCU.XX)

In a statement, Sydney-based Transfield said the deal to provide preventative and reactive maintenance for about 1,300 radio transmitter and operations sites across the U.S. is expected to start by February.
