sustainability report, Meeting the Challenge, which highlights the
company's environmental, social and economic performance for the
year. Entergy's annual sustainability report takes a close look at
how the company raised the bar on employee safety performance, met
customer expectations, delivered investor returns, protected the
environment and contributed back to the community. "This latest
report illustrates that not only can the company remain competitive
and financially successful in the short run, but also it can do

emissions from 2002-2008 were nearly 18 percent below the company's
cumulative stabilization goal. -- A total of 60 Entergy work sites
now have Star status under the Occupational Safety and Health
Administration's Voluntary Protection Program. -- The Low Income
Home Energy Assistance Program secured $313 million in federal
