Board Changes

KBC Advanced Technologies plc ("KBC") announces the following changes to its
Board of Directors.

Don Romano, Chief Executive Officer, has informed the Board of his intention to
stand down from his position on grounds of ill health. It has been agreed that
this will take place with effect from 30 November 2003.

Peter Close is appointed to the Board as an executive director with immediate
effect and will succeed Don Romano as Chief Executive Officer on 1 December
2003. Mr Close is a founding shareholder of KBC and served on the Board until
March 2000, since when he has remained involved in the business on a part time
consultancy basis.

KBC confirms that there is no information to be disclosed with regard to Mr
Close pursuant to Rule 16.4(b) of the Listing Rules of the Financial Services
Authority.
