NEW YORK, NY , which represents a collection of exceptional
health and medical Web sites and email patient lists, today
announced that in its first comScore ranking, monthly unique
visitors in the US topped 8 million* putting GHA among the top 15
health web properties, with more "Total Visits" than Yahoo! Health
and About.com Health. GHA's select portfolio of sites generates
more than 43 million page views.
"Our appearance in comScore is an important milestone for the
company as many of our advertising agency colleagues utilize this
service to assist them in their media planning duties," says Robert
Kadar, CEO and founder of Good Health Advertising.
Good Health Advertising also announced it has closed an initial
round of financing led by Gersh Venture Partners based in New York
City along with a group of experienced, Internet focused individual
investors. The amount raised in this initial financing round is
just under $1 million.
"Good Health Advertising provides health-focused marketers and
their advertising agencies with one of the most effective
advertising solutions available to the health industry. We call it
a 'start-up with a head start' in that Good Health Advertising so
quickly amassed over 8 million unique in a record amount of time,"
says Lewis Gersh, Managing Partner of GVP. "GHA provides
integrated, targeted buy opportunities for major marketers across a
network of high-quality health and medical properties plus
condition-specific email patient lists. This allows marketers to
efficiently buy and have their dollars optimized across the best
niche properties that could never effectively represent themselves.
Good Health Advertising is the cure for health marketers."
"The health category is the second-largest advertising segment
in the US and the Internet has emerged as the number one source of
consumer health and medical information available today. Millions
of consumers, patients and caregivers access health information
online everyday often bypassing the big portals and navigating
directly to more condition specific health sites offering a deeper
and richer user experience," says Mr. Robert Kadar, founder and CEO
of Good Health Advertising. "Our goal is to identify the best of
these emerging and fast growing health and medical publishers and
make them available to the leading pharmaceutical companies and
their advertising agencies for targeted and impactful, educational
and promotional programs.
"Good Health Advertising is dedicated to serving the needs of
these publishing partners many of whom are top 50 ranked comScore
sites in their own right. We make it easy for our advertisers to
reach valuable and desirable sites and audiences they may otherwise
miss," concludes Mr. Kadar.
According to Mike Edelhart, Managing Director of First30
Services and CEO of Live Deal, who serves on the Good Health
Advertising Board of Directors, "We live in the age of the
empowered patient. More and more people are using the Internet to
improve their health and manage the health challenges that they or
their loved ones might be facing. Good Health Advertising is in the
perfect position to capitalize on this important trend as they
partner with the types of sites attracting this new generation of
empowered patients. In a very short period of time, Good Health
Advertising has emerged as an important and sizeable player in the
online Health industry"
