Digital Music Group Announces New Music Content Acquisitions

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Aug. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Digital Music
Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:DMGI), a content owner and distributor of
digital music recordings focused on past-hits, out-of-print, back
catalog, and independent label recordings, today announced three
new long-term distribution agreements, consisting of over 6,000
tracks in total, with independent record labels. Under the terms of
the long-term digital distribution agreements signed with each
company, DMGI will distribute their respective catalogs to online
music stores worldwide. Additionally, DMGI announced agreements
with a number of individual artists, each with their own history of
creating chart-topping records. The three music catalogs under
long-term distribution agreements are: Fuel 2000 Records: * Fuel
2000 Records is a label that specializes in contemporary recordings
of such heritage rock artists as Jethro Tull, Bill Wyman and Pat
DiNizio. Fuel 2000 Records also controls several historic catalogs,
and it has marketed numerous reissue titles and compilations. *
Tone Casualties Records: Over the past 10 years, Tone Casualties
Records has amassed a catalog of electronic, atmospheric titles by
such boundary-breaking artists as Holger Czukay, Laurent Brondel,
Gabor Csupo, Controlled Bleeding and many more. * Roadshow Records:
Roadshow Records is a heritage R&B, funk and disco label that
began in the 1970s with recordings by B.T. Express, Enchantment,
Brass Construction and other artists. This catalog includes the
Billboard Magazine top 5 hit "Do It ('Til Your Satisfied)," among
others. Additionally, DMGI announced agreements with the following
recording artists: * Roger Hodgson: Roger Hodgson is the
distinctive former vocalist of Supertramp. His newest album is
titled Rites of Passage and includes live versions of the top
Supertramp hits and favorites including "Give a Little Bit," "The
Logical Song," "Take The Long Way Home," and "In Jeopardy." *
Dwight Twilley: Dwight Twilley's new live album All Access contains
18 of his finest songs from the past 30 years, including his hits,
"I'm on Fire," "Girls," and "Why You Wanna Break My Heart," as well
as Twilley favorites including "TV," "Somebody To Love," and
"10,000 American Scuba Divers Dancing." * Ron Dante: Ron Dante is
the voice of the Archies' "Sugar Sugar" and numerous other sunny
hits. Mr. Dante continues in his quest to craft the perfect pop
record on his forthcoming album, California Summer, which features
