Industrial Equipment Manufacturer FABTECH Selects Epicor(R)

Epicor Software Corporation (NASDAQ: EPIC), a leading provider of
enterprise business software solutions for the midmarket and
divisions of Global 1000 companies, today announced that
Fabricators and Technology, S. A. C. (FABTECH), a Peruvian
enterprise specializing in manufacturing equipment for the fishing,
mining, oil and sanitation industries, has selected the Epicor 9
next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) to optimize its
operations and support its current and future expansion plans.
FABTECH will be implementing Epicor across its finance, budgeting,
marketing, sales, engineering, quality assurance, logistics,
planning and control, manufacturing, installations and maintenance
functions.
Prior to selecting Epicor, FABTECH relied on disparate software
solutions for sales, logistics and engineering, manufacturing and
management areas. About two years ago, FABTECH realized its
existing solutions were unable to adapt to changing business
requirements, so they started to look for alternative software
solutions that would effectively integrate the production
chain.
After a comprehensive selection process including both local and
foreign software developers, including considering developing a
homegrown system themselves, FABTECH decided on the Epicor ERP
solution. "Our company works in the wastewater treatment of the
fishing, mining, oil, chemical and agricultural industries, and
customer satisfaction is very important to us," said Gustavo
Saravia, general manager of FABTECH. "Operations like quotes,
planning and control of budget and resources were limitations that
we found in other systems; Epicor's strong resource planning and
quality assurance capabilities were key factors in our final
selection."
Other compelling reasons for choosing Epicor were the
flexibility of the solution, and its ability to adapt to specific
business requirements and growth plans, as well as its customer
relationship management (CRM) module.
"With Epicor we plan to lead the business from a corporate
level. We are looking forward to being leaders in reliability,
quality and cost, with access to our business information in
real-time, empowering us to make the appropriate decisions for our
company," said Saravia.
