PR Newswire (US)
GREENSBORO, N.C., April 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Upon the merger
of LSB Bancshares, Inc. and FNB Financial Services Corporation, the
combined bank will be called NewBridge Bank, a name that was
selected to reflect a strong link between the bank and its
customers. "The merger itself will represent a strong link between
two great banks with histories of long relationships with their
respective customers. This new name reflects the continued and
growing connection that we will have with our current and new
customers because we will be able to offer more services as a
larger bank," said Robert F. Lowe, Chairman, President and CEO of
LSB Bancshares, Inc. (NASDAQ:LXBK) The executives and boards of
directors of the two banks selected the name among "literally
hundreds that we explored," said Pressley A. Ridgill, President and
CEO of FNB Financial Services Corporation (NASDAQ:FNBF). "NewBridge
Bank is a name that symbolizes progress, because throughout history
bridges have spanned barriers and provided a catalyst for growth.
Without bridges, westward expansion and rail transportation would
have been severely limited," said Mr. Ridgill. "For customers, the
name represents a personal bridge between themselves and the bank.
For our employees, it stands for a spirit of cooperation that will
guide their daily interactions among themselves and with our
customers. When you look at the definition for bridge, it means
helping people connect with their goals, whether that is overcoming
an obstacle or creating relationships of understanding. Those are
the points of connection to our customers and the communities where
we do business, for which we will continue to be widely known,"
said Mr. Ridgill. The brand identity design will be selected and
announced at a later date. For more information about the signing
