Frontier Financial Corporation Announces Increased 3rd Quarter 2005 Cash Dividend and Opening of 40th Office

The Board of Directors of Frontier Financial Corporation
(Nasdaq:FTBK), have declared a $.16 per share third quarter cash
dividend to shareowners of record as of July 11, 2005, and payable
July 25, 2005. "This represents a 23.1% increase over the third
quarter of 2004, and a 14.3% increase over the 2nd quarter 2005
cash dividend paid. This is the twenty-third consecutive quarter in
which the cash dividend has increased. Frontier paid a cash
dividend of $.14 per share, adjusted for the 3-for-2 stock split
paid on May 16, 2005, to shareowners in the second quarter of
2005," said Mike Clementz, President and CEO. In addition, Frontier
hit a milestone opening its 40th branch office this week located at
617 South Third Street, Suite B, Renton. William LeBlanc, Vice
President and Manager of the office, has over 40 years experience
