MIPS Technologies Appoints Semiconductor Industry Veteran Art Swift as Vice President of Marketing

Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:MIPS), a leading provider of

business applications, announced it has named Art Swift as vice
president of marketing, reporting to MIPS President and CEO John
Bourgoin. With more than 20 years of experience in marketing and
executive management for semiconductor and processor IP companies,
Swift will lead marketing efforts for MIPS Technologies' global IP
business. "Art has a rich executive-level history in marketing for
some of the world's leading semiconductor companies," said

general manager of several large divisions of chipmaker Cirrus
Logic. He also held senior marketing, business development and
engineering positions with Summit Microelectronics, Sun
Microsystems, Digital Equipment, Bipolar Integrated Technology, and
Fairchild Semiconductor. Swift holds a B.S. degree in Electrical
Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He is co-inventor
of three U.S. patents relating to programmable logic architectures.
