Walgreens pharmacies throughout California receive additional
shipments of flu vaccine to help meet consumer demand for
immunizations. Flu shots currently available daily at nearly all of
the more than 630 Walgreens pharmacies statewide.
What: Walgreens today
announced its California stores, along with those in many other
U.S. states, have received more flu vaccine and continue to offer
flu shots daily with no appointment necessary during all pharmacy
hours.
Who: Walgreens pharmacists
in California can administer flu shots to those age 7 and older.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends flu shots
for everyone over 6 months.
Why: The California
Department of Public Health reports an increase in flu activity
that is now widespread across the state. Isolated Walgreens
locations that may have experienced a temporary shortage in vaccine
supply are again offering flu shots daily.
When: Additional shipments
arrived at California stores today. Flu shots are available during
pharmacy hours with no appointment necessary.
Where: Flu shots available
at nearly all of the 633 Walgreens stores throughout
California.
