Cinergy Solutions has commenced work on the design and construction of a new Medium Voltage Electric System (MVES) at Knauf Insulation's Shelbyville plant in Indiana. The $6.5 million enhancement of the electric infrastructure is part of Knauf's decision to increase production capacity by up to 50%. Knauf Insulation needed to grow in order to meet global demand and stay competitive. The decision to expand the existing plant rather than build a new plant elsewhere reflects the company's commitment to its employees as well as the town of Shelbyville.
