Earle M. Jorgensen Company Announces Opening of New Connecticut Facility to Support Northeastern Expansion

Earle M. Jorgensen Company (NYSE:JOR) announced today that it is to
expand its operations in the Northeastern United States with the
opening of a new facility in Southington, Conn. Located in
Southington outside of Hartford, the 32,000-square-foot facility is
scheduled to open on October 1, 2005, and is expected to create
nine new jobs. The facility will enhance and expand service levels
in Connecticut and Northeastern New York. "The opening of this
facility continues the Earle M. Jorgensen Company's strategy of
continually increasing service and delivery levels to our client
base in the Northeast. The facility will have an extensive
inventory of bar and tube stock and will feature the latest in
metal-cutting equipment. This allows us to serve our very demanding
client base as they continually seek outsourcing solutions to run
