Mykrolis CEO to Retire From Post BILLERICA, Mass., June 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- C. William Zadel, Chairman and CEO of Mykrolis Corporation (NYSE:MYK) announced today his intention to step down as CEO in the coming months as part of a planned retirement. The Board of Directors has initiated a search of internal and external candidates for Mr. Zadel's replacement and expects to announce a successor by year end 2004, or early 2005. While serving as Chairman and CEO of Millipore Corporation, Mr. Zadel was the central architect behind Mykrolis's spin-out from Millipore in August 2001, at which time he was named Chairman and CEO of Mykrolis. Mr. Zadel indicated that, if needed, he would remain in his current role for a period of time after the naming of his successor in order to provide a smooth transition. Mr. Zadel said, "When I became the CEO of Mykrolis, I did so with the full understanding of the Board that I would retire once Mykrolis was firmly established as a stand-alone company.
