Six Flags Changes Ticker Symbol to 'SIX'

Nation's Largest Regional Theme Park Company Will Continue to Trade
on NYSE NEW YORK, May 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Six Flags, Inc.
(NYSE:PKS), the nation's largest regional theme park company,
announced today that it has changed its ticker symbol to SIX. The
Company, which has traded under the symbol PKS on the New York
Stock Exchange, will continue to trade on the NYSE. The change will
become effective at the start of trading on June 5, 2006. The
Company will also change the ticker symbol of its Preferred Income
Equity Redeemable Shares (PIERS) to SIX-B. "Changing our ticker
symbol to SIX is emblematic of all the changes taking place at Six
Flags in our 45th Anniversary year," said Mark Shapiro, who was
named President and Chief Executive Officer of Six Flags in
December 2005. "PKS is a symbol of the past. We're proud of the Six
Flags heritage, and our mission is to build on that legacy as we
reposition our brand to be synonymous with family, entertainment
and experience." The former symbol, PKS, was used by Premier Parks,
which acquired Six Flags from an investor group in 1998. The
combined company changed its name to Six Flags, Inc. in 2000. About

park company. Founded in 1961 with the launch of Six Flags Over
Texas, Six Flags is celebrating its 45th Anniversary in 2006. It is
