NatWest Group said Monday that it has appointed David Lindberg as its new chief executive officer of retail banking.

The company, which is part of Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC, said that Mr. Lindberg comes with a wealth of experience, most recently as the chief executive of Westpac Banking Corporation's consumer division CEO.

NatWest said that Mr. Lindberg's start date will be announced in due course.
