Imperia Entertainment's 'All That I Need' Viewers Think Film Is Real; Director Will Not Confirm or Deny

PR Newswire (US)
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Dec. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- As of
Sunday night, not all data had been reported on attendance
statistics to Imperia Entertainment, Inc. (Pink Sheets: IPRE) on
its feature film, "All That I Need," but Internet sites such as
Yahoo! showed it taking a high position with members of the viewing
public who had seen the film. Exit polls show that most viewers
think that the camera has captured a true scheme unfolding, a
comment that Director/Writer James Hergott refuses to admit or
deny. Posted on Yahoo! Movies, the overwhelming majority of viewers
left positive comments, and overall the film rated B+. But the
cinema verite film that Hergott bypassed the traditional Hollywood
distribution system to get into theaters has ruffled the feathers
of a few left-leaning critics. This is evident when you contrast
comments of San Antonio Express News critic Larry Ratliff - who
says, "'All That I Need' is a compelling, emotional roller-coaster
ride of riches and ruin"; "'All That I Need' pays off where many
films don't"; "interesting to the final shot"; and "no one should
regret investing the price of admission" - with comments by Steve
Persall of the St. Petersburg Times - a newspaper of which Bill
O'Reilly says, "there is something wrong with that newspaper" - who
says, "feels like a con job through its sheer incompetence."
Ratliff praises Writer/Director James Hergott as "showcasing
gumption and creative sleight of hand sure to take him further as a
director and writer" and a "filmmaker to watch." Fort Lauderdale
Sun Sentinel critic Laura Kelly said, "Writer-director star James
Hergott has crafted a cinema verite work on pyramid schemes that
strides confidently along to its own unique rhythm," and the
Gainesville Times said, "a movie that tries so hard to look real,
it almost is." Tampa Tribune critic Kevin Walker said, "In a
low-expectation movie market overrun with projects ranging from
desultory to offensively dumb, this work by first-time Canadian
director James Hergott might be a welcome diversion." "Most people
have told me and others promoting the film at theaters that they
heard about it on the Internet," said Hergott. "They also ask me if
it's real or not," he added. These are no doubt questions that will
be posed to Hergott in TV interviews on CBS and ABC affiliates in
Dallas today, and during a live radio program at the Edwards
Houston Marq*E 23 & IMAX theater tonight. "All That I Need"
plays through December 10th in a limited release in select theaters
in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, New
Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas. Tickets are on
